What to Make of Tab Trade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

Tab Trade - What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is solid.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

This is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should be part of how you think about it.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you commit.
